Emily Blunt’s Husband Wants To Watch Her Racy Movie Debut

Actress Emily Blunt is plucking up the courage to sit down and watch her movie debut in 2004 film My Summer Of Love with her husband John Krasinski – because it features scenes of her naked and kissing another woman. Krasinski recalled seeing his wife-to-be in the Pawel Pawlikowski movie when they first met, and he has been keen to see the racy film again ever since. Blunt tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, “When we met, he thought the first thing he had seen me in was The Devil Wears Prada. But then he remembered that he had seen this (film), and he said, ‘That was you, wasn’t it? I loved that movie’… My husband wants to see it again.” But the actress insists she’s not ashamed of her performance opposite Natalie Press: “It’s kind of a drag when you know that your boobs are all over the internet, but I felt in really safe hands with Pawel Pawlikowski, who I do believe is one of the greatest filmmakers.”

Emily Blunt Grateful To ‘Kind’ Clooney

Emily Blunt says George Clooney is a “very kind” man and she will always be grateful to him for letting her get married at his home. The actress tied the knot with actor John Krasinski in July 2010 and the Hollywood heartthrob offered the couple the use of his property on Lake Como, in Italy, so they could conduct their nuptials in private. In an interview on UK radio station Magic 105.4, she said: “Is it a ranch, would you call it a ranch. At his place. His lake, it was lovely, so beautiful. He was very nice to give it to us, it was very kind.” Despite his generosity, the British actress jokingly claimed George wasn’t invited to the wedding. She claimed to have told him: “George we would love to get married at your place but can you leave? That would be great.” Emily can currently be seen in Five-Year Engagement and she believes the comedy film will cause arguments between couples who have been engaged for a long time. But the actress believes she and John had the “right” distance between their engagement and wedding ceremony. She said: “It was like a year, that’s how you do it, I think probably couples that have been engaged for many years will go and see this film and get into an argument.”

Emily Blunt’s Ocd Fears

Actress Emily Blunt is concerned her obsessive compulsive disorder is becoming “an issue” in her life, because the condition is worsening with age. The Devil Wears Prada star has been fixating on trivial and repetitive behaviour since she was a child, but she was only recently diagnosed with Ocd. Now she fears the condition is getting worse as she’s noticed her tics and mannerisms have become more pronounced as she worries about the future. Blunt tells The Observer Magazine, “It’s very weird. It’s only happened in the past year. I’ve started getting very superstitious and fixating on things. I used to do it as a kid. I’d get these obsessive moments where I’d be in the car with my dad or something, and every time we went past a lamp-post I’d (click my tongue)… “It’s becoming an issue. I’m in the middle of the street and my dog is peeing on a tree and I’m touching it.” Asked why the condition is worsening, Blunt replies, “I don’t know. I think I’m just worrying lately about my friends and family. I’m lying awake, and getting older and realising how precious everything is; losing that slightly cavalier quality you have as a teenager when you say and do silly things.”

Emily Blunt Loves ‘Evocative’ Fragrance

Emily Blunt agreed to become the face and ambassadress for Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium fragrance because fragrances “evoke” so many memories for people. The Devil Wears Prada actress will star in the new TV and print campaigns for the “evocative” scent – which was created by perfumer Jean-Louis Sieuzac in 1977 – and Emily revealed she loves fragrances because scent is so important to her. She explained to People: “I think really that’s what I love most about it – it evokes so much for people. Everyone always says they’ve smelled something, and remember this beautiful memory they experienced maybe many years ago. There’s something very powerful about it.” Emily’s new advertising campaign for the brand – where she plays a woman on the hunt for the Opium fragrance – will air in December and Emily revealed she was thrilled to play a role rather than simply pose with the product. She said: “It was thrilling. I was given a story to play, and for me as an actress that’s very exciting. I’m not just posing or just trying to sell something.” Speaking about the perfume previously she said: “”It is a really exciting experience to embody this legendary fragrance, which has stood the test of time without its allure ever being diminished. Being a part of this new campaign and being able to tell the story of this very evocative fragrance is a real thrill.” Renaud de Lesquen, president of YSL & Designer Brands, explained the new campaign will portray “a fiery, almost reckless woman with magnetic seduction, that nobody or nothing can resist”. He added: “Opium embraces the whole history and values of our house.”

Emily Blunt: Ysl Made A Mistake

Emily Blunt thinks Yves Saint Laurent “made a mistake” hiring her to front an advertising campaign. The Muppets actress can’t understand why the fashion house asked her to star in a campaign for their Opium fragrance – which saw her dodging a leopard while wearing towering high-heeled shoes – because she looks “so un-French”. She said: “Go d, I’m so un-French in that trailer.” Asked why she was invited to front the campaign, she added: “I don’t know. I’ve no idea. Perhaps there was no one else? “They made a mistake, a terrible mistake.” Despite her reservations, Emily admitted she finally said yes to the campaign after years of turning down beauty advertisement offers because she liked the “aura of scandal”. She said: “I think that I’ve been wanting to make sure that when I did it would be the right thing. There’s such an aura of scandal around this perfume that I was quite attached to the idea of doing it from the word go. I’d been asked to do a couple of things but none were as classy as this. And I got to work with a leopard.?” The Devil Wears Prada star also revealed she wanted to wear a flowing gown instead of a tuxedo in the advert, but was advised it would send the leopard “crazy”. She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I got word back that the leopard trainer says, ‘If you have flowing fabric around the leopard the leopard will go crazy .’ So I said yes to the tux.”
